Ambassa (Tripura), 08 October, 2021: Naithungul Para of Ambassa Parish organized a one and half day Media literacy training program for women leaders of the parish. There were around 80 participants who gathered for the animation session. It was a parish annual gathering of all mothers to evaluate their activities and to discuss the action plan for the future. Mothers’ association secretary Mrs. Nayanmoti Debbarma invited Fr. Ivan D’Silva, SVD to talk on ‘Media and its negative impact on the family’. Secretary also invited Sr. Sushila SSpS to talk on ‘the role of women in the Church & family’. Mothers gathered on October 2nd for a few competitions and reporting of yearly activities. Following day it was classes and workshops on Media and the role of women. Fr. Ivan the Secretary for the commission of Social communication taught mainly on media and advertisements, Media & T.V serials etc and how they affect the day today life of women. The group discussion and workshop helped them to understand the subject better.
